A Romantic Setup with a Solar Candle Lantern
A candle light can transform any room or an outdoor place into a romantic area, with that
breathtaking ambiance perfect for a marriage proposal or a simple romantic dinner. To keep up with the modern
times, electronic candle light was created. This is to meet the demands for a candle light effect with less
maintenance and a longer life. Today, however, a better alternative has emerged: a solar candle
lantern.
Safer than a candle light
True that the electronic counterpart is safer than the real candle light, but a solar candle lantern is even
safer than the electronic candle light. Most electronic candle lights are powered by electricity and thus they come with a power cord for charging or a wire and
a plug for direct-to-outlet plugging.
With these wires, there is a higher risk for a short-circuit. When a wire gets nipped and then it rains, this
might cause short-circuit and blow up the light bulbs. A worser scenario is that the short-circuit might be the
cause of an electrocution.
These risks are totally zero with a solar candle lantern. It has no wires and runs in a low voltage.
Solar lanterns gather energy from the sun during daytime and charges up the batteries so
that they can be used when nighttime falls.
Cheaper than a candle light
Prices of a candle light vary, some are cheap while others are expensive. But it still needs a candle holder to
complete the look. Beautiful candle holders are expensive. There are inexpensive ones too that are great to use for
regular burning.
Now considering these investments for a real candle light setup, a solar candle light might prove to be a
cheaper alternative for a longer time of usage. With real candle light, a homeowner has to buy replacements for
burnt candles and this means extra expenses. With a solar candle lantern, a homeowner won't shell out a single dime
after buying it from a store. There is no maintenance cost since it relies on the sun to get its energy from.
It flickers like the real thing
Now, the only concern now is in the looks. A real candle light, of course, looks so romantic most especially
with its distinctive flickering. In this department, a solar
candle lantern is at a
disadvantage. Since flickering is natural for a candle light because of air, this is not possible with a solar
candle light since it uses a light bulb to emit light and the presence of air won't cause the flickering the way it
does with a candle light.
However, to mimic the flickering look of the real thing, this type of solar lantern now
comes with a flickering LED light bulb. Yes, it is now created with a LED bulb that flickers at a random time,
giving the illusion of a flickering fire, just like the real thing. Unless a guest looks closely to the solar
candle lantern, he would think that his host's home has been setup with a romantic candle light.
